The Newark Star Ledger, one of New Jersey's largest and best known newspapers in "the Garden State" visited us for the first time in the Summer of 2003. The Star Ledger's Munchmobile Crew had great things to say about our ice cream and they rated us "Top Dog" for ice cream in the state. In 2003, the Home News Tribune readers also named us the "Best Ice Cream" and "Kids Party Place." In 2004, Country Cow Creamery was honored to have the opportunity to create an ice cream flavor for Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. We shipped out two flavors that we specifically created for the Osbournes based on what their favorite desserts were to California. We were honored when Sharon Osbourne highlighted our flavors on her talk show - The Sharon Osbourne Show. From time to time, you will find the Osbourne's ice cream flavors in our store. Sharon's flavor is called "Death by Sharon" and it is a homemade deep dark chocolate ice cream with all sorts of chocolate goodies mixed in. Ozzy's flavor is called "Ozzy's Carnivious Carrot Cake" and it is a cinnamon swirl ice cream with homemade carrot cake, homemade cream cheese frosting, and candied walnuts mixed in. The result of us making the Osbournes' flavors helped us achieve world-wide press. We were interviewed by radio and newspaper outlets around the world, and we were mentioned in Star Magazine. Our next venture, The Cookin' Cow cooking school was recognized once again by The Star Ledger in a front page article in the Business Section in November 2004. After that came several local newspaper articles, that really helped to let local residents know about us. We were also featured on WMBC with a wonderful segment highlighting The Cookin' Cow and our cooking summer camps. One of our proudest moments took place in November and December of 2005. Country Cow Creamery's ice cream was featured on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on Channel 7. In November, Regis and Kelly sampled our Thanksgiving feast ice cream - a six course ice cream dinner. Yum or Yuk?? If you missed that segment, go to our home page to view it. Then in December, our ice cream made a return visit on "Live with Regis and Kelly" with our Holiday flavors. We were so excited and proud. We are so grateful to the media for their coverage and interest in our store, as well as the great things that our customers say about us. Many of our faithful customers have been trying for some time to get us on the Food Network, and we are keeping our fingers crossed. What makes us so proud is that we are one ice cream store, and so far we have been very lucky with our coverage. We keep moving along and we continue to think of unique ways to get media attention - so watch out for us!
